My thesis "Tradizioni Future. Le culture dell'intreccio dall'età antica ad oggi" explores the ancient practice of weaving, a craft with a long history that spans different cultures and eras. This traditional method has been used to create a wide range of objects, from baskets to tapestries, and has played a significant role in the history of art, craftsmanship, and design. In the modern context, weaving is experiencing a revival, driven by renewed interest in craftsmanship, environmental sustainability, and material innovation. The goal of this thesis is to investigate the evolution of handmade techniques, focusing on the historical roots, weaving methods, materials used, and its relevance in contemporary design.
